Biography

Seventeen year old Jackson rapper, “Tha Joker” was born Jade Harris in Kosciusko, MS. There, he was reared by his grandmother and grandfather. During this period of time, he and his friends spent much of their time toying with rap. A character at heart, people always commented on his goofiness. His approach to rapping was no different, so of course, no one believed his decision to become a rapper. In their minds, he would always be a joker. From this, he derived his stage alias...Tha Joker! At the age of 15, due to his several confrontations with the law, Joker was arrested and sentenced to move to Jackson to serve house arrest under his father’s custody in Jackson, MS. Confined to his home, Joker began to take his rapping seriously. With nothing but time on his hands, his writing as well as his delivery improved. He began posting his music on MySpace. He then reached out to a local record label, Family Ties Entertainment (FTE), which was responsible for the summer hit of 2006 “Peanut Butter n Jelly”. Utilizing his savvy lyrics and unique sound, he caught the attention of its C.E.O., Young Star, who in turn offered to bring him in to a local studio to display his acclaimed talent. Joker did not fail at blowing Young Star and super producer, Big Fruit away with his ear catching voice and astonishing flow. Seeing his potential for greatness, they immediately signed him. Production of his album began soon after. Creative promotion of Joker’s MySpace (myspace.com/joker2cold) has been strategically developed to make him the number one Mississippi artist on the internet. Recently, executives at FTE and the Joker, decided to collaborate with Joker’s fellow MySpace star, Soulja Boy to develop the forthcoming number one song in the country, “Boy Shorts”.
